Frequently Asked Questions
Zaugg Jewellery GmbH · Haus Jäggi, Poststrasse 91, 7050 Arosa, Switzerland
At Zaugg Jewellery, we believe choosing jewellery should feel personal. Whether you are looking for a particular piece, considering a bespoke creation or seeking advice about jewellery you already own, we are always happy to help.
Can I purchase jewellery directly online?
Yes. Most of our jewellery can be purchased directly through our online shop. For selected high-jewellery pieces, we recommend a private consultation or private purchase so that we can personally advise you and arrange the most suitable purchase and delivery method.
Can I ask for more information about a piece?
Of course. You are welcome to request additional photographs, videos, measurements or further information about any piece. If you need help deciding, our team is happy to advise you personally.
Can I reserve a piece?
By request, we may be able to reserve a piece for a limited period, subject to availability. As many of our pieces are unique, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible if a particular piece has caught your eye.
What if a piece I love has already been sold?
Many of our pieces are unique, particularly those featuring natural gemstones. If a piece is no longer available, we can try to source something similar or discuss recreating the design. Because natural gemstones are unique, a recreated piece will always have its own character.
Can I arrange a private consultation?
Absolutely. We offer personal consultations for clients seeking individual advice, high jewellery, gemstones, valuations or bespoke creations. Consultations can be arranged by WhatsApp, phone, email or through our contact form.
Where can I meet you?
Private consultations can be arranged in Arosa, Zurich or Lausanne. If travelling to one of these locations is not convenient, we are happy to discuss meeting you closer to home. Home consultations are also available by arrangement; for these, we ask you to send photographs of the pieces beforehand.
Do you create bespoke jewellery?
Yes. Bespoke jewellery is an important part of our work. We love working with our clients to turn an idea, gemstone or personal story into something unique. Depending on the project, we provide a CAD visualisation before production.
Can you transform existing or inherited jewellery?
Yes. We can help reimagine an existing or inherited piece and, where appropriate, incorporate its gemstones into a new design while preserving the meaning of the original.
How long does bespoke jewellery take?
Every project is different, particularly when a specific gemstone needs to be sourced. Once the final design has been approved, production generally takes around 8 weeks. We will provide a more precise timeframe for your project.
Can you source a specific gemstone for me?
Yes. We regularly source gemstones specifically for our clients and can search our network according to colour, size, quality and gemstone type.
Do your gemstones come with certificates?
Where applicable, diamonds and gemstones may be accompanied by recognised laboratory certificates such as GIA or IGI, as well as Zaugg documentation. Additional independent certification, including GIA or SSEF where appropriate, can also be arranged at additional cost.
Do you offer jewellery cleaning and repairs?
Yes. We offer cleaning, maintenance and repairs for jewellery purchased from Zaugg and can also assist with jewellery from other jewellers. Complimentary professional cleaning is available when you visit our Arosa store. Jewellery can also be handed in in Zurich. Repairs are assessed individually and any costs are discussed beforehand.
Do you offer ring resizing?
Yes. We offer one complimentary resizing of eligible rings by up to two sizes within 60 days of purchase. Resizing depends on the design and construction of the piece. Once a ring has been resized specifically for you, it is no longer eligible for a change-of-mind return; defect and warranty rights remain unaffected.
Do you offer valuations or buy jewellery?
Yes. We offer private consultations for jewellery valuations, insurance valuations, inheritance and estate matters, as well as the purchase of gold, vintage jewellery, diamonds, gemstones and selected watches. A preliminary indication may sometimes be possible from photographs, but a proper valuation or purchase offer requires physical examination.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Orders within Switzerland and the EU can be placed through our online shop. Delivery to selected other countries may be arranged on request, depending on destination, insurance and order value. Selected high-value pieces may require personalised delivery arrangements.
How long does delivery take?
For in-stock items, estimated delivery is usually 2–5 business days within Switzerland and 3–7 business days internationally. High-value or specially arranged deliveries may take longer. If timing is important, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably via WhatsApp, and we will do our best to prioritise your order.
What is your return policy?
Eligible online purchases may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Before every return, please contact Zaugg Jewellery so that we can provide the correct return instructions. Personalised, bespoke, altered and clearly marked Final Sale pieces are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Full details are set out in our Shipping, Delivery & Returns Policy.
What languages do you speak?
We are happy to assist our clients in German, French, English, Spanish and Italian.
