Terms and Conditions

Zaugg Jewellery GmbH · Haus Jäggi, Poststrasse 91, 7050 Arosa, Switzerland

1. Scope & Operator

These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made through the Zaugg Jewellery online store, operated by Zaugg Jewellery GmbH, Haus Jäggi, Poststrasse 91, 7050 Arosa, Switzerland (UID: CHE-116.218.893). By placing an order, you accept the version of these Terms & Conditions applicable at the time of your order.

2. Order & Contract Formation
Submitting an order constitutes a binding purchase offer. The contract is formed when Zaugg Jewellery sends an order confirmation. In exceptional cases, including simultaneous in-store sale of a unique piece, stock discrepancies or other availability errors, Zaugg Jewellery may decline or cancel an order. Any payment already received for an unfulfilled order will be refunded in full.

3. Product Information
We make every effort to describe and represent our jewellery accurately. Screen settings may cause slight differences in colour. Natural gemstones are unique and may display individual characteristics, inclusions and variations. These natural or screen-related differences do not permit a materially different product from the description supplied.

4. Pricing & Taxes
Prices and applicable taxes are shown in the online shop. For EU deliveries, Zaugg Jewellery covers applicable import taxes, import VAT and customs charges upon import. In the event of a voluntary return without a defect or error attributable to Zaugg Jewellery, VAT, customs or import-related costs may arise or may not be recoverable and may be borne by the customer. For selected non-EU destinations, unless expressly agreed otherwise, import duties, local taxes and customs charges are the customer's responsibility.

5. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary depending on the customer's country. Payment is due according to the terms of the payment method selected. Goods remain the property of Zaugg Jewellery GmbH until full payment has been received.

6. Delivery
Orders within Switzerland are sent via Swiss Post. International orders are sent via FedEx or another suitable delivery service, depending on destination, value and security requirements. Complimentary shipping is offered within Switzerland and the EU. Delivery to selected other countries may be arranged on request. For in-stock items, estimated delivery is generally 2–5 business days within Switzerland and 3–7 business days internationally. Selected high-value pieces may require personalised delivery arrangements. If timing is important, customers should contact Zaugg Jewellery as soon as possible, preferably via WhatsApp.

7. Cancellations
For standard or ready-to-ship online orders, cancellation requests received before dispatch will be accommodated where reasonably possible. Personalised or bespoke orders may only be cancelled before individual production, engraving or modification has begun.

8. Online Returns
Eligible online purchases may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Before every return, the customer must contact Zaugg Jewellery and follow the return instructions provided. The 14-day change-of-mind policy does not automatically apply to purchases made in-store or during a personal consultation.

9. Return Shipping
For eligible Swiss returns, Zaugg Jewellery provides a prepaid insured return label. For voluntary EU and other international returns, the customer bears the return shipping costs and must use an appropriately insured and trackable method in accordance with Zaugg Jewellery's instructions. Original outbound shipping costs for non-EU orders are not refunded for change-of-mind returns. If a return is required because of a defect, transport damage or an error by Zaugg Jewellery, Zaugg Jewellery will arrange or cover the appropriate return shipping.

10. Return Condition
Returned pieces must be in original condition, without signs of wear, scratches, damage or alteration. Original certificates, documentation, accessories and packaging should be returned where applicable. If missing items or handling beyond what is necessary to assess the piece causes a measurable loss in value or replacement cost, a reasonable deduction may be made from the refund. The jewellery must be securely and appropriately packaged to prevent damage during transport.

11. Exclusions from Change-of-Mind Returns
Change-of-mind returns are excluded for bespoke pieces, personalised or engraved pieces, items individually altered for the client, rings resized specifically for the client, and pieces clearly marked as Final Sale before purchase. Existing collection designs remain eligible for return where they have not been personalised or individually modified, even if produced after the order was placed. Mandatory rights relating to defects or manufacturing faults remain unaffected.

12. Refunds
After the returned piece has been received and inspected, an eligible refund will generally be processed within 14 days using the original payment method. Any permitted deduction will be communicated to the customer.

13. Damaged or Defective Items
If an order arrives visibly damaged, the customer should contact Zaugg Jewellery within 48 hours wherever possible and provide the order details and photographs. This notification request does not limit statutory warranty rights for defects discovered later.

14. Warranty
Products are subject to the applicable statutory warranty rights. For watches or other products covered by a manufacturer's warranty, the relevant manufacturer's warranty may apply in addition where indicated. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes mandatory statutory consumer rights.

15. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Zaugg Jewellery GmbH is liable in accordance with mandatory law and does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Liability for indirect or consequential loss is excluded to the extent legally permitted.

16. Intellectual Property
Website content, including product images, texts, logos and design, is owned by Zaugg Jewellery GmbH or its licensors and may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission.

17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected to the extent permitted by law.

18. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The application of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded. Mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the customer's country remain unaffected where they cannot legally be waived.
